Below is a list of Free databases or open-access electronic books evaluated and selected by the library staff to provide additional sources of information for researchers. Most of the electronic resources you will find in these sites are free and openly available for public use.

1. ASEAN Digital Library
National Libraries from the various countries in ASEAN hold a great wealth of library resources that span the spectrum of formats – books, papers and manuscripts, maps, photographs, paintings and drawings, audio and video recordings, ephemera, and newspapers. All these can be digitised for easy access and much of this digitisation work has already been done.

Open Access (OA) is an important way to make research findings freely available for anyone to access and view. Cambridge OA serves authors and the wider community by publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed OA content that allows readers to redistribute, re-use and adapt the content in new works.
4. Digital Science Dimensions
Dimensions is a next-generation linked research information system that makes it easier to find and access the most relevant information, analyze the academic and broader outcomes of research, and gather insights to inform future strategy.
5. E-books directory
is a daily growing list of freely downloadable ebooks, documents and lecture notes found all over the internet. You can submit and promote your own ebooks, add comments on already posted books or just browse through the directory below and download anything you need.
6. Free e-Books.net
Free Ebooks provides thousands of books for download. Books are available in electronic form for free.
7. Free Engineering books
online engineering books available for free download. There are books covering wide areas of electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, civil engineering, chemical and bioengineering, telecommunications, signal processing, etc. The books are mainly in PDF format for offline reading, some of them are online only HTML versions.
8. Internet Archive
Internet Archive is a non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites, and more. This is a free online library. All the items on this site are freely available for download, either permanently or for borrowing for a short period. At no charge.
9. National Academies Press
read more than 3,000 books online for free. Covers subjects on Engineering & Technology, Health & Medicine, Earth Sciences, Environmental Studies, Energy conservation, Food & Nutrition etc.
10. Many Books.net
Browse through the most popular titles, recommendations, or recent reviews from our visitors. Perhaps you'll find something interesting in the special collections. There are more than 50,000 eBooks available for Kindle, Nook, iPad and most other eReaders, and they're all free!
11. OER Commons & Open Education
Open Educational Resources (OER) are teaching and learning materials that you may freely use and reuse at no cost, and without needing to ask permission. Unlike copyrighted resources, OER have been authored or created by an individual or organization that chooses to retain few, if any, ownership rights.
12. Open Research Library
The Open Research Library is an aggregation of peer-reviewed, open access, scholarly monographs which is hosted on the BiblioBoard platform.
13. Project Gutenberg
the first and oldest producer of free electronic books. This site offers 20,000 free e-books. Project Gutenberg was the first provider of free electronic books, or eBooks. Michael Hart, founder of Project Gutenberg, invented eBooks in 1971 and his memory continues to inspire the creation of eBooks and related content today.
14. Tech Books
technology books free for download. Mostly subjects on science & technology.
15. World Bank Open Knowledge Repository
The World Bank is the largest single source of development knowledge. The World Bank Open Knowledge Repository (OKR) is The World Bank’s official open access repository for its research outputs and knowledge products.
16. DOST STII - Starbooks Online
Its project aims to provide S&T based educational and learning resources in various formats to geographically-isolated and economically-challenged schools and local government units (LGUs) throughout the country. It was also designed to further implement the mandate of DOST-STII to provide access to S&T information as well as stimulate interest of the public to science and technology.
